People go to any level to make their house look
beautiful and different than others. It is not just the beauty of the house,
which needs to be considered, but the safety of the same is also of paramount
importance. So to save the house from the dreadful weather condition, they use exteriorwall tiles. It is a very complicate, and tough job to place tiles neatly on
a wall. It takes a lot of hard work and expertise to accomplish this task. No
matter where those tiles are being placed, it still gives a headache to the
person doing the job. What is more difficult to do is to place tiles on an
exterior wall. Every single factor like weather and climate has to be
considered while doing so. If not installed carefully, the whole work can get
ruined by a slight change in the climate. The natural changes like temperature
and moisture can cause the tiles to crack in places thus ruining the whole
work. So, the installation of the exterior wall tiles is not a small task. One
needs to be very careful, and should have the expertise for doing so.
It is always better taking assistance of
professional service, and hire experts to fix the wall tiles. As it is a
question for existence of walls with the same look in the longer term, the
better and perfect use of material will be a great help to the house.
Tips for installation:
• Before
starting the job of installation of the tiles, it is recommended to install a
cement Becker board first on the wall. Some holes are drilled into this board
with the help of a drill machine, then, it is attached to the wall with some
concrete screws. This way the entire wall is covered with the Becker board.
• The
next step is to place a uniform layer of the polyethylene filler all over the
board. The thickness of this layer has to be 1/4 inches.
• Then
the board is completely covered with a metal lathe.
• Then
a thick wall mortar is created, and I placed over the metal. The layer of this
mortar should be thick enough to cover the metal entirely. Then this mortar is
left to dry for about 24 hours. Once it has dried the worker needs to put a
thin layer of cement adhesive over this mortar.
• On
every 12 inches of this surface, an adhesive chalk is placed. This has to be
done before the tiles are to be placed. This material gives the tiles the
flexibility to move around and survive the ill effects of climate.
• Now
the tiles are tightly pressed on this surface and are left to dry for about 24
to 48 hours. During this time, the tiles have not to be touched by anyone.
The expansion joints at every 12 inches are
necessary as they provide the required flexibility to the tiles which is not
there otherwise.
